Wasn't feeling good most of the day, by 3pm the day was a complete waste.

To salvage it I had two options - throw myself into work & get something done so I feel productive, or go fishing, so I don't need to feel productive.

Made my way up to the snoqualmie, but didn't hit any of the sections I've ever fished before. Rather I went to some spots just off of a hike we had done earlier this year.

I got some good casting practice in. No actionfor me. Lost a few flies, and realized I really need to spend some time at the vise or the fly shop soon. There were some fish there, I saw others catching them.

I was casting a bit better than I have been, so I felt good about that, still tons of room for improvement...

Finding new places to not catch fish was fun, I'm definitely going to have to do some more exploring. Maybe I'll even find some places where catching fish is an option.

Actually, I was a little bummed. Not at not catching... but more at not having planned better. Had I thought things through I could have stayed on the water longer, then hiked out in the dark with a flashlight or headlamp. Having no light source I got off the water really early.

So, if I'm bummed about anything, it's about not staying longer.
