Not familiar with that line but looking up the specs Rio decribes it as a cold water line. This willbe used in Florida trip with warm water temps. Any feedback on your side for temperture preformance?

box. $40 shipped in USA. Thanks
The Rio bonefish line has a really long head length (49.5 feet) compared to 35 feet (I think) for the redfish line. The bonefish line is very difficult to cast at close shots you get for redfish. You will get nothing but frustrated. Many of my redfish shots in winter Louisiana are 20-30 feet, with very few farther than 50 feet. Of course this is 100% sight fishing. Rio now has summer and winter redfish lines but I have not looked at the differences. Most modern fly rods can easily be up-lined by at least one weight, even with a line like the redfish or power fly lines.Trip is mid April. I picked up the GS Bonefish 8wt from SalterLee's posting. If it doesnt work on my 7wt, Ill just fish an 8wt.
Thanks for the advice Its the QS (quick shooter) version which is only a 35ft head. My understanding is there is not much difference in the lines other than core being tropical on the bonefish vs redfish. Summer vs winter redfish is sort of the same thing according to water tempsThe Rio bonefish line has a really long head length (49.5 feet) compared to 35 feet (I think) for the redfish line.
