Hi Grann, those are beautiful and I'm interested. Make and price? Feel free to PM me if you prefer.

I am concerned they may be a hair long, however. My width between oar locks is 68" (boat is a 21" side height), I've estimated my max oar size at 8'6"... Any insight?

You should be able to get away with running 8 footers I would recommend something like this https://www.amazon.com/Caviness-BW80-OAR-VARNISHED-TOP-OAR/dp/B001HBRAZY
you'll have to do your own oar shaft rap but that's not a big deal leather is a lot better than rope but rope is easier and cheaper. Important to wrap where it goes through the lock so that they don't come out the top of the lock and also to reduce wear

Thanks Grann. I have 7.5' good quality Barkley Sound oars for it now, they are just a bit too short... I'm not sure 8' would make much of a difference.

Still searching for 8.5'ers!
