Absolutely gorgeous reel, with every option. Yep, the drag knob is finished to match the reel. The spool handle was upgraded to metal (clear silver) to more closely match the reel finish. I even have an extra drag knob nut as a backup. Includes the factory box, cordura case, instructions.
Purchased for a Belize bonefish trip three years ago that never happened, the reel had backing and line installed on it, but was never fished (remember, the trip never happened). It doesn't look like I'll be heading anywhere similar in the near future where I would use this reel, so I need to move this reel from my closet to a new home.
From the web:
"Stalking the flats for Bonefish and Redfish is the favorite pastime of may fly fishers, and these strong species were what Abel had in mind when the Super 7-8N was designed. A narrow-width spool all but eliminates the need to guide the line onto the reel, while its large arbor allows for an incredible retrieve rate - perfect for recovering line after a blistering run! The Super 7-8N will easily hold a saltwater 7- or 8-weight line with plenty of backing to spare, and gives you the stopping power necessary to slow down the hottest of gamefish.
Like all Abel reels, the Super 7/8N is machined in the USA from a solid block of cold-finished 6061-T651 aerospace aluminum. This Large Arbor Reel also features Teflon-sealed bearings suitable for saltwater use and a high-grade cork drag that could stop a school bus.

This reel retails for over $1,000, but you can buy this one for $550, excluding any PayPal or shipping fees.
The reel is even more beautiful in hand than it is in the pictures, and the quality is more than evident. Gorgeous lifetime reel that your grandkids will be happy to own someday when you pass it on.
