Take those green jerseys with you.
Man I couldn't agree more...but i'm not sure if this guy is the answer either...would sure love to see them do a total dump....It's killed me the last few seasons seeing some decent QB's out there...good/great lineman, defensive as well...and they sit pat and hasslesuck (so as not to offend him?) or bring in some old washed up player with nothing to play for....Maybe it wasn't Mora's fault, but I don't care. Looks like the Hawks might be following the Mariners' lead, and I'm all for it.
In 2008, both teams were awful, pitiful, embarrassing. After that season the Mariners fired their GM, fired their manager, fired all their coaches and said, except for Felix and Ichiro, all the players are expendable. And so they started expending. Who's left from 2 years ago? Jose Lopez. Ryan Rowland-Smith. Anyone else? And the team is much better, even with pretty much starting from scratch. They're still not great, but they're not embarrassing and they're headed in the right direction.
The Seahawks don't even have Felix and Ichiro. There is no one on that team who I'd say keep at all costs. That's why I didn't cry much over losing Holmgren. The Hawks got some expending to do.
I hear Pete Carrol is all but a done deal. Fine. He's worth a try. Anything is better than what we've had the last few years. (A nice byproduct of that might be seeing USC pass the Huskies on the way down as the Huskies work their way up.)
Mumble's...I like your thinking iagreeDid not see that coming after only one year based on the commitment they put forth to get him here before Holmgren left. The head coach may not be to blame for the lack of on field performance by the players, but the head coach is ultimately responsible. Maybe it will be a good thing, but I hate to admit that Jason D is right on the money with his points on transition from coach to coach and going big time. Gruden, Dungy or Cowher would be interesting. I'd like to see Cowher nearly blowing a gasket and spitting all over everyone as he stomps up and down the sideline at Qwest Field. I'd pay to see that. Not so sure I want to see Pete Carroll try his hand at the NFL again.
totally.It's a monkey fuc%ing a football.
