I was trout fishing size 16 lightning bug. On the Deschutes river in July. I was demonstrating for someone I was teaching how to fish. My least memorable steelhead ever, but it did happen.

I have a wool Filson hat that I like. In fact I wear it almost daily. It is even American made and the price was dare I say reasonable.

I too have caught steelhead on an indicator. Many in fact. I was riding in a boat and there was allot of drinking and no pulling over to swing. I even tried swinging from the boat but the evil oarsmen just handed me another beer and steered the boat to foil all attempts at an honest fish. I admit it. I picked up the rod and began to slay chromers like a hero in one of those zombie movies the kids all love. It felt good but wrong. I'm still confused.
