First off, my apologies if I should be posting this somewhere else, but I was told by a few friends that this would probably be the best forum to reach out to.

I am headed up to the Kenai Peninsula in a month and would love to fish with a top notch guide.
I've been in touch with a few guides, but hesitant to pull the trigger right away.
It would be super helpful if even just one more person had some input.

Does anybody have any suggestions for a great guide on the Kenai?

Thanks in advance.

Contact Greg Brush, at EZ limit. www.alaskafishing.com/ezlimit I've fished with him once. he took me for free because he was booked up when i called and when i called again, he just took me out for no charge. He has just as much experience as anyone and writes for Fish Alaska.

Another Great guide outfit is The Fenton brothers. Contact Mike Fenton. He's old school, quiet and grew up on the Kenai. I've never seen his boat empty of silvers and he'll put your K16 in front of kings if they are in there ; ) I would say get a hold of Mike Fenton. STAY AWAY from Great Alaska fish camp in Sterling. They are jerks and several people have said so. I lived there for 6 yrs and they did me wrong as well. Have a great time. Call Mike, he is as good as a guide can get. 20ft willie and a very nice guy.

Stokedphishin... you didn't clarify what type of fishing you would like to do, I assume since you posted on a fly-fishing forum, that would be your preference. That being said, ask your guide does he or she fly-fish for the species you're going to target. There are alot of guides here on the K.P. Good luck on your search.

Dennis Randa is Excellent.
With research, most Kenai fishing is available w/o a guide. It's a matter of researching access and willingness to walk out of the crowds. That said, the Kenai Canyon is awesome and only accessible by boat. Don't miss it.
2X to D Ray's suggestion.
