Albright knot?

I'm terrible at tying blood knots with tiny materials. I was looking for something easier and I came upon the Albright knot. I'm curious if you can use the Albright to attach tippet to leader? Any disadvantages?

Add double surgeon in there as well. Looks even easier.
I use an Albright when attaching the backing to my fly line. This knot would seem too bulky and complicated to use for attaching a tippet. If the blood knot doesn't work you could use a loop to loop connection.

I also use a Albright for all my backing to line knots. As for extending tippet I use double surgeons knot. The key is to not let the line twist before you tighten the knot.

I use an Albright's knot for splicing tippet to leader. I less than number of wraps that the diagrams call for—maybe 5 or so. Not bulky, never had one fail. Yet.

Knock on wood.

Interesting. I can't twist or loop 99 percent of knots I attempt. Arthritis. And, eyes. But, let me use the Blood for everything. ...

And, poor circulation--ice cube fingers.

Some dead nerves, gone, too...

Crap! I am a wreck! Why do I fish????

Nice. Wondered if it might work.

I can't do the blood knot because I have developed the shakes due to many closed head injuries. Used to not be like that, so alternatives are good.
The double surgeons knot is a really simple and strong knot

I use albright for backing to fly line and double surgeon for tippet to leader.
For connecting lighter sections of leader/tippet I use a triple surgeons. But I like the looks of the Orvis tippet knot.
Double surgeons all the way... saves my ass on numb-hand days or when the fish are rising and you have just foul hooked an alder on the first cast and need to rebuild in a hurry... not sure if a triple is really that much stronger but it seems to break more often at the actual knot sight... anyone have any data on double vs triple at all?

I cant remember the source but I have read there is virtually no difference between a double or triple surgeons. So I just do a double

Double surgeon guy too. It's bulky compared to the blood but soooo much easier.

Explains a lot about some of your posts. :)

Good to know. I've never done research, but choose double over triple due to extreme laziness. I have noticed triple seems to come out more straight.
Thought I saw this on the site, but now I can't find it. Simple trick to make blood knots easy peasy:
