Some guys in the midwest have a neat new program going, www.projectupland.com and though it is Midwest/Ruffed grouse centric I thought some of you would enjoy their work.

It's that time of year when we all get to cool off a bit, hang the training gear up, and join our friends and dogs in the field to enjoy the fruits of the training off season, a cup of coffee on a crisp morning, and enjoy the wild setting again.

Though this vignette is about Brittanies, it is shot well and I hope there is something within it that ya'll can relate to and enjoy. Here's to a great season afield with friend and dog!

I have never owned a Brit, but have hunted over a few - the abundance of burrs in this country quelled any desire I may have had to consider a longer-haired breed. I did hunt over a delightful French Brittany many years ago - she was the only dog I've ever seen that would eagerly (and effectively) hunt ACROSS corn stubble; that crossed-up a lot roosters as she was a magician when it came to heading-off & blocking birds.
