And what river was this on, and when? I have the week of T-Day off, and I am itching for some action.

As to the Sky, the chums are in, but I am laying back until the hatchery run enters in December, as I don't want any old moldies on my line.

The river is the Cowlitz River. If you go on a weekday, you won't see as many gearchuckers there. There is also an area where most of the flyguys go. Its in the water about 75yds to the right of the boat launch. Most of the spey guys go to that spot. Good luck!

The pic I have here is of David, a Flyfishing guide out of Colorado. Hes only been here for roughly a month and a half and has not had a taste of The NW Steelhead til' now. He picked up the Steelie technique FAST! David's Steelie blasted his fly exactly on the swing. Not only did David beach a Steelie on his first ever trip, but also caught a Jack Salmon,SRCutt, and a Sucker. We had an awesome time, I myself had a great time considering I didn't catch anything but one SRCutt. Its was great adrenalin seeing David catch his first ever Steelie, I was just greatful he hooked in.
Kudos to David and his first and definately not his last Steelhead!
