Curious to know if anyone on the forum collects these reels? If so what models do you seek and or own?

There is info on Ari T Hart reels on the classic fly rod forum. Hopefully the following link will work for you.

Looks to me like there are a lot of replicas out there, so you need to be careful and work with a reputable dealer.

I'm sure others will know more than I do.

Not a collector or even an owner but I have always appreciated his design explorations.

I have a couple of Ari T. Hart reels. A good friend of mine is unable to fish due to health reasons and wanted someone to have and use his equipment. He gifted me a F2, a S1 and a F4 reels and insisted that I fish them. They are all well above my ability, but I use them as directed. I fish the F2 with 5-6wt, the S1 as my 8wt and the F4 with my Spey rod. They are truly magnificent designs and I’m lucky to have them.

Thanks,
Bill Keeler
I appreciate them for the design element and as works of art, but I've never wanted one. They just don't appeal to me.

I guess I'm too much of a traditionalist.
Just a fisherman, not a collector.
Just put up my two early F2 Rio Orbegos on this site.
