Did you buy the used one? I have a velocity hard alox 3.5 on mine and it is a good match, slightly to lite. You are welcome to borrow my lines to see how they fit the rod.

What's your budget?

I have a Gold Cup IV, super nice large arbor in great shape, I bought to use for a future spey rod. I never got in to spey fishing. The reel could be had very reasonably.
