I have had a couple lessons and figured I could use another. Not able to pay to learn so thought someone on this great forum would know of a free casting clinic coming up soon.

Also any good, complete book to get? What I mean by that is there a book specifically for the NW on Fly fishing methods, bug hatches, and that type of info all in one book?

Thanks again,

Gary ( the orvis event going on this coming weekend looks like fun. I will be there for some of it)

Once you have the basics down then practice, practice and practice some more. I generally go to a grassy field, park, when there are few people around and set out 5 gallon bucket lids at various distances, say 30', 40', 50' and 60'. Start in close and then work out further. Keeping your forward and backcasts in the same plane, moving in the same line, is generally the preffered way to obtain accuracy and to maximize distance.
