I thought I would throw this out there:
My buddy and I are fishing these lakes on Monday, May 5. At this time there are additional openings for anyone interested. there are two lakes with a max of 8 people per lake. These are fantastic lakes to fish - for a fee. This will be my 4th time there. The lower lake used to have LARGE trout and the upper lake had MANY trout. I understand the lower lake is starting over so it will not fish as it has. The upper lake has fish to 24 inches (easily).
The cost is 225.00 for the day - you bring everything. I am reserving thru Darc at Desert Anglers.

I thought it would be fun to fish with fellow WFFer's. If you are interested, please book thru Darc (I get no kickbacks) and we can talk logistics as the date get closer.
if you got any questions - fire away!

I never caught any browns in either of the lakes. the lower lake had rainbows that you could measure by the lbs. I think my biggest on the lower lake was 8-9 lbs. Strong fish. too bad for the kill that occurred.

I remember talking to George cook about them in the lower lake, but I never caught any in there either. I've been there 3 or 4 times, I'm trying to get a hold of them to make a reservation but they aren't anwsering their phone,

Dp. Is the parking area still always from the lakes, I remember way back when you couldn't back up and unload a pram, what ever you are using has to be carried to the lake, if its still that way ill take my pontoon, I have a wheel for it, I forgot to ask darc about it.

Thanks Earl

I have no aversion to paying to fish private lakes -- you do the same to play golf or downhill ski. However, I have no idea what lakes you're talking about so I imagine they would be a heck of drive from Corvallis.

Coulee City area- heart of the Columbia Basin. You could get there in 8 hours with a gas/pit stop. Nice scenery in early May.

4.5 hours from Renton. I'll stay in Ephrata for one night. from Ephrata it is about an hour drive.
Earl - you can pull up to both bodies of water. no wheel needed. heck you can fish half the upper lake from shore - and do well.
we will be in pontoon boats. intermediate line and a floater if you want to chiro fish.
Buggers, 6 packs, hares ear. they all work.
cast, count to 3, strip, strip, pause - lift - Fish On!

for any one following this tag: I screwed up my dates. I have to pick up my daughter from WSU on the 5th - that cannot change (I was politely reminded last night). sorry for the mix up
The lake is open on the 8th and that is when I am going now. Earl is on board. and there are openings for interested parties. Please contact Darc at Desert Angler as noted in an earlier post.

thanks-dp
