Fished a couple hours this morning at high tide on the ebb. Started out at the usual spot and worked all along the beach with nothing to show so I took a little walk to the outer fringe of that beach and landed two despite the bad visibility of that stretch.
First fish was a decent cuttie in a golden color with pronounced spots, gorgeous fish.
The second hit it felt like a larger fish, darting this way and that, jumping all over the place. At first I thought it was a cutty but the body was too silvery and too acrobatic...
Once in the net I was pleasantly surprised, a blackmouth! My first on the fly!
Both fish took a orange searun bugger with brown marabou tail.
Went to area 11 with my buddy in my boat and had a damn fine day. Didn't find any monsters like last week but landed 12-15 biggest at 16" ish. Best part was that they were all healthy and fat. Also got a 23" coho that was clipped. Those are the best tasting but put him back and hoping that I get him next August if it's open.
