The native vs non native idea in terms of fish is a hot topic. One of many examples is browns or lake trout being reduced to help protect the native bull trout or cutthroat.
But fish aside, why doesn't this translate into wild horses, they aren't native, but there's a lot of support from state, fed, and citizens to keep them protected.
One example I find strange is that WA tribes are trying to reintroduce pronghorns, those speed goats will be on the same land that the horses are on. So where is the outrage between an antelope that is native to North America vs the non native horses.
