This is the 4th or 5th year my GF and I fished BT on the opener. fishing would have been great except for the wind, which sucked. Caught some fish in the 17-18 in range and even manages to catch a few on chrono's when the wind was too strong to fish sinking line. The chrono fishing wasn't very good for the people that always fish them there. I did not see many coming off but my intermediate line and a water boatman saved the day. Water was high and cold still.

Good report

Always keep a few boatman patterns in my box

Saved many a day when can't quite figure what they are keying in on

How heavy was your anchor? Can't stay anchored in that lake when it gets windy!
Bob, Good to hear you made it over to the good side for the opener!

How do you fish the boatman?
I use a clear intermediate with a 4 ft leader. Cast out various depths

Can fish 1 ft quick down to 20 ft if I can get out entire line let sit and slow hand twist return

In the 20 ft plus lakes use a full sinking line if no surface activity
