I was listening to the "news" on the radio the other day and heard a statistic that made me chuckle. 1 in 8 people living in the north west believe that Bigfoot could be or definitely does live.
To add to this, they said 1 in 4 of those believers has claimed to have seen Bigfoot or has seen proof.
Stories of boulders being hurled, prints found, loud knocks in the woods... alot of interesting things mentioned in stories (except proof).
So I put this out to you. Any stories or experiences or reasons to believe here? I imagine at least 1 in 8 of you beleieve...

Most of them integrated into society years ago. They are among us!

It's possible one of my forefathers was one. Almost all of my "known" family is much smaller than me. Could be I received the "BF gene"?

At 6'6" I would of course be considered small by their standards. Probably looked at as a half-breed runt. Doubt they would accept me. :(

I have hair again, quit shaving and spend a lot of time outdoors. There may be a spike in sightings locally . . .

I've never seen anything, but a friend back home swears he did & quit hunting the area where his sighting occurred. Two of us were with him that day, but were all hunting separately; I do know he was scared shitless when we found him in Dad's old Jeep wagon later. And Charlie was by no means a wuss, but something got his attention.

To answer your question....no sighting, but I believe I heard one once in the woods off South Kalaloch Beach. The next day I explored a bit from where the sounds came from and right there at a nice oval shaped seating rock with a nice view of the beach tucked under the shade of some large wind bent spiderish looking sitka spruce trees laid a bunch of empty 'Jack Link' wrappers and a 16oz Bud Light. That was no Bear! ;)

Daytime Squatch hunting is tough. The pics always turn out blurry or grainy. It's alot easier at night

As more time goes by, I am very skeptical. All of the sightings, footcasts, and Indian lore makes it intriguing, however I won't get too excited until we find a body or at least a damn picture that isn't blurry

July 1987 Upper North Fork Willamette drainage in Oregon: A tall brown furry bipedal creature crosses the road 50 yards in front of the truck and plunges into the dense forest and runs downhill. I stopped the truck and got out and could hear it crashing through the underbrush. I'll never know just what I saw but it wasn't a bear or a prankster in a Bigfoot suit. That sighting has haunted me for years.

Not me personally. I do believe in God so I to believe in "big foot"
A friend or should I say fiend said he saw one crossing the hwy south of Yakima on the Indian Res.
He had been getting loaded in a local tav until it closed then drove to a wide spot along the hwy to sleep off his drunk.
When he came to at the crack of dawn he said the "big foot" crossed the hwy with a dead sheep over it's shoulder.
There are things that go bump in the nite, could be "big foot"

I

I've seen that video. I also saw someone bust that video as a hoax. Something about being able to use a video analyzer to pick up synthetic fragments in the hair... claiming it as a suit. Fun topic though everyone. Keep em coming! I have no stories but am always intigued. I've seen one unexplainable fireball in the sky in the middle of nowhere and my cat was abducted by aliens once (a very strange story, but not BF related), but no weirdness in the woods except human wierdness

in early 2000' , my cuz had just moved here from Oregon and was needing a new scene. We met up in Granite Falls and proceeded to the upper Suiattle. A fresh rain had dumped the night before and most people would be concentrated in the lower river so we headed up up. One thing i enjoy doing while fishing is to look at the fresh tracks when ever i hit a patch of sand or mud, what animals are abound and so on. It gives me a heads up on what was going on before i got there. My cuz had no waders or rod for that matter, he just needed to get out. We pulled over in a pullout that led to a steep bank, that eventually led to the river below. we skidded and slid down till we hit the river at the tailout of a split braid, river left being the main channel and river right being a multitude of crossable riffles eventually leading to an island with a log jam on it below us. At the top of the island there was not even a bird foot print to be seen.. nothing showed it self, just fresh sand spots and rocks. My cuz followed me tromping thru the braids getting soaked...but he was beer 30'ed so he didn't care. I followed the main channel looking for water and my cuz went right following the side channel. the river was still flowing fast and the prospect of fishing this spot was nil. By the time we met up at the tail end of the island we were speechless.....
The island was separated by a swift flowing side channel spanning about 15ft or so to the bank that was tree lined and too fast for us to even think about it!! YET
there was 1 clear print in/above the water line in the sand, and 2 faint prints that were in the water going towards the bank. (crossing the swift side channel) i wear a size 12 wading boot.....these were bigger! you could see a ball and heel imprint.
WHO HAS A NAKED FOOT WAY OUT THERE IN NOWHERE LAND ON A RANDOM SPOT OF THE RIVER!?!?
its not like someone could expect someone to show up at this location to even attempt a prank...period! SEAN SPICER PERIOD!!!
we looked at each other speechless and without word got the fuggg out!! i was WAY ahead of cuz Dean and up the steep embankment when i could hear him wheezing and coughing asking for help to climb up.
the hair on my body stands up every time i speak of this.. it happened, its my story, and i don't care if ya believe me or not.
when they opened the road back up couple years ago i took Jess up to Downey cr and asked her..."do u think something could hide out here if it wanted too?" ..answer- "Yes!" most people haven't ventured more then 5 miles of the beaten path, i repeat MOST PEOPLE HAVEN'T VENTURED MORE THEN 5 MILES OFF THE BEATEN PAVED :) PATH !!!! I BELIEVE

I don't know about Bigfoot I have no reason to disbelieve but i'd say it's an outside chance..

HOWEVER!! I have a strong desire to have my own show. step one would be to find out the schedule of the big foot hunter show.. then I would plan to be in the same area as them at the same time.. I'd knock on trees and howl at them. and leave big footprints everywhere..
the name of my show??

Messin with Sasquatch hunters

Ugggghhh. Cryptozoology. It has sucked in some otherwise credible scientists. Trying to prove a negative..... Always with the sketchiest of evidence. Eye-witnesses are surprisingly poor at providing evidence in court - see Innocence Project. "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence".
