I camped at Blue Lake a couple of weeks ago. I didn't want to drive north to fish Blue Lake since I really don't like fishing for cutts. Then I decided not to drive south-east to fish Blue Lake because I heard a story that the Department had shifted from stocking rainbows to stocking cutts there. I did think about doing the drive and going on a hike to Blue Lake and fishing that, but the Ranger District said the trail was still covered in snow.

I personally think Okanogan County needs more lakes named Blue. I looked at the Lakes of Washington book and saw lots of unnamed lakes in the county. I am sure one or two of those is probably called Blue by the locals. Need to get those lakes officially changed to Blue.

I did not find a Blue Lake in the Pasayten or Lake Chelan Sawtooth Wilderness on the Okanogan side. So some opportunity to get some more Blue Lakes in those areas.

Keeps people guessing whether Blue is fishing well or not.
Anyone know if the lake camping at Blue-Sinlahekin is still ok?
Another good one, how's 'horseshoe' lake fishing?
The two postings is May have pictures of Blue Lake and the camping: http://usbackroads.blogspot.com/2016/05/usbackroads-product-casita-travel.html.

You can ignore the article on the travel trailer. We were the only folks there the week after opener (upper lake). Didn't check to see if anybody was on the lower lake.
