Put in at the hilstrom launch at 8 am. Road runner shuttle spoted me and when I walked up to my rig at the Hatchery the window was down, glove box was open and Ted left a sticky note that read, could not find the money. So I called Ted and he said there was no way the window was left down. I am guessing they found the key at the hilstom launch and broke in. Then went to the hatchery launch and broke in again. The only thing missing so far is Teds turn around money. I am really suprised and very lucky they didnt get several items in other compartments in my vehicle. Be careful my fello flyfishing friends.

???
Let me se if I have this right.
You left the car with money and keys at hilstorm launch and Ted found it with keys but no money. He did the shuttle anyway. Left it at the hatchery launch and someone broke in again?

That SUCKS Bill. Glad your more spendy items were not taken.

I guess it was just a matter of time till some tweaker figured it out. I really feel uncomfortable leaving my key for the turnaround guy no matter how well its stashed, Forks has been good till now, hope this is not the start of a new trend.

Makes you wonder if someone is targeting shuttle drops for some extra cash. SOB's
Sounds like you got very lucky. They didn't ransack your car or brake anything.

Jeff I am guessing somebody came along because nothing else was taken. I was on a solo float and I didnt leave any gear in my rig witch is rare for me. If they would have opened the right compartment I would be missing a check book and wallet. Wont do that again

I am suspecting they probably say Brian Fairbanks the game warden. hes been patrolling the upper Sol Duc pretty heavy the last two days. He said they have been getting reports of people fishing bait on the upper river.

I'm sorry, are you saying the game warden is a suspect?

That stinks. Sounds like someone must have some sort of knowledge of the shuttle system. Has Ted had any similar reports before yours? I hope someone doesn't start using rocks to get into rigs. I guess we gotta make sure there's nothing inside to make it worth their while.

William B, man I'm sorry to hear about your rig.

I went out on Friday. Ted gave an alternate number for another guy...even Ted must need a day off to fish. Lots of boats, watched a fish get released. I talked to Fairbanks at the bottom of the run, and he'd been checking quite as few boats. No mention of break-ins.
