I nearly closed the door completely on my flyrod this morning It is a Fenwick. Since there are three 2.5-3inch cracks down the rod. I am not sure weather or not it can be salvaged. I put some duct tape on it temporarily..and said various prayers that it holds. Does anyone have experience in patching flyrods? Can it be done? I believe it is fiberglass.

What do I know---I'm just an old man

I had a fiberglass rod once and did the same thing you did. As I was struggling thru the brush it got hung up and when I went to free it it broke all the way thru. It ruined my whole fishing trip. But that was when I was young and could only afford one rod. About 35 to 40 years ago. I think it's time to go out and buy another one.
