My dad wants to go camping down around bumping lake or the naches area in July. We don't really know where to go. He said this is more of a family thing but we will drive to wherever we need to go fishing. We already got a fishing spot in that area. Could someone recommend a place to camp in this area that would be directly related to good fsihing? thanks

There are a number of campgrounds in the area, so you'll have to pick the one closest to where you want to be. Fishing would include Bumping Lake / River, Naches, American, Little Naches. Small fish in the American, some nicer fish in the Naches down from Sawmill Flat. There are some very nice cutthroat in the Bumping River.
You can camp just about anywhere up the Little Naches, as long as you don't need a campground. Be advised that there is a lot of motorcycle riding / ATV's up the Little Naches, so it can be noisy. I ususally hit the area after Seafair weekend, when the water on the Naches drops.

I fished Bumping Lake Last Sept. The fishing was good for Whitefish and a few trout. Plenty of free camping up there though some of the areas require a Washington trail park pass. The main diffence is the ones that do require have an outhouse close by. Nice lake as long as its not crowded which it was not while I was there but I can tell it does get quite a bit of use at times. When I was there I got lucky since I was the only one there fishing and only 2 boats on the lake.
