Tied here as a PMD; change colors/size to suit your needs.

hook - Dai Riki 305 #16
thread - Danville 6/0 pale yellow
loop - Danville Flat wax cream
rib - x-small wire copper
body - pheasant tail (optional - use same dubbing as thorax)
shuck/shellback - Congo Hair brown
thorax - dubbing pale yellow
wing - CDC cream
hackle - ginger

mash barb, start thread; tie in rib, wrap to bend

tie in PT; wrap to 2/3 mark, tie off/trim

tie in CH; pull back, trap at bend with wire, rib body to 2/3 mark, helicopter end, trim shuck (gap width)

measure (shank) a pair of CDC tips; tie in

tie in loop

tie in hackle

hook the loop in the gallows; wrap hackle up (thorax width) and down, tie off/trim

dub thread/dub thorax

pull hackle forward

tie off/trim, half hitch x 2, SHHAN
