Orvis Bellevue is organizing a second (much larger) clean up project on the Cedar River. This project was planned in conjunction with the one I put together back in May, but with a much more sponsorship behind it. I encourage everyone to make it out for this one - with lower flows and several months of tubing/partying behind us, I predict they'll need a lot more help this time around. They clean that river up every year. It sounds like it's a regular garbage dump.

If you all want to clean up a river, try the Sultan. The last time I was there it was nasty. That was about 14 years ago or so.

Doesn't surprise me. I occasionally pack my road bike into my car and go down to Renton to ride the trail to maple valley and there is trash above the river, as well. Damn shame.
