nice, glad you got out and got into a few.......your report details an anamoly of sorts that I often experience myself when trout fishing. The streamers catch the little guys and the small flies catch the big ones......this reality does fly in the face of conventional "big fish big fly" wisdom, but then again, trout don't read internet forums to determine what they are "supposed" to hit now, do they?

Nice. Been driving over the Cedar more and more wondering when I'm gonna make time to get my boots wet there.

I was on the Cedar last night. Stopped first at Riverview Park to meet friends and saw a Fish and Wildlife truck. I went over to introduce myself and thank them for being out. Turns out it was Officer Capelli. He gave me his card and phone number. Great to see him out after so many poaching reports.

The friends and I continued up a little higher. They are fairly new to fly fishing and we found a spot where they could work on casting with the occasional distraction of a strike. The bugs really started coming off in the last half-hour of light and the trout fed aggressively. Great night on the Cedar - doubt I'll get back before it closes.
