If Cheeky can ride herd on a bunch of Chinese Cats, then they might have a decent product. Color does seem to be the defining mark for branding products. I would prefer the color that is most durable, as long as it isn't pink.

Why doesn't fly fishing have a pink month like the other sports? Then we can have 11 months of camo.

For what it's worth, I've never used one...but to my knowledge, they're Asian import reels...and for the price you can get an equivalent US made reel that's also a top-tier performer...so even if they're as good as other reels at their price point, I'm going to be far more inclined to go with a US built one.

I'm by no means a "buy 'Murican no matter what" type, but, all else being equal, I expect the Asian imports to compete on price, with a possible tradeoff in quality. Even if quality is equal, I expect a price break.

The reason I like Hardy reels. Incredible quality at a mid range price.
