There's no way I'd ever use one of the reels because it somehow causes your rod to dissolve!! 
Cheeky Stuff
A new neighbor has a Cheeky fly reel that I tried out. It seem to be well constructed and very smooth operating. I've never heard of the company or seen their products around. But then, I'm middle-aged and admittedly outdated. Anyone have their reels and what do you think of them?

The reason I like Hardy reels. Incredible quality at a mid range price.For what it's worth, I've never used one...but to my knowledge, they're Asian import reels...and for the price you can get an equivalent US made reel that's also a top-tier performer...so even if they're as good as other reels at their price point, I'm going to be far more inclined to go with a US built one.
I'm by no means a "buy 'Murican no matter what" type, but, all else being equal, I expect the Asian imports to compete on price, with a possible tradeoff in quality. Even if quality is equal, I expect a price break.
