I have a St. croix 7 wt that I sometimes fish salmon with because it is slightyl longer than my Sage 8 wt.. Long story short, I had a similar experience as you with a big salmon on the Kenai R. in alaska. Sent it back, and had it back repaired in under two weeks. This was just this fall. You will have no problem getting a new blank.
