Ok, you dragged it out of me. Water temp is different every 15 feet of river. Fly didn't seem to matter. Browns in the slow water cuts/bows in the fast water. I'd give a fish count but I can't count that high. I didn't see any hoppers (WTF?) but the fish didn't seem to care. San Juans in the plunge pools were gold for bows. Black EHCs and black renegades with a small red but are money too. Bring bug spray and sunblock.

Just a reminder, there is a asian millfoil problem over there so wash your boats. There are check stations so don't forget to stop.

Good info. I was on the CF a little early this year with the wet spring. It was around the 10th of July and didn't do so hot but i've had great days like you just had in prior years. Which fork of the Flathead are you fishing, they are all quite different and unique and receive differing pressures from anglers, lots of water in that system, grew up fishing it.
