Thinking about planning a trip out to the Clearwater for a steelhead trip this winter and wanted to get some tips and possibly a guide. Never been steelhead fishing but done a bunch of trout and red fish down in the flats. Any re gear, locations, what to avoid/look for, etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

WA or ID?

I could assume you mean on the OP if your looking at the winter time but I don't think it has a lot of guides operating on it. If you mean the ID river (some people fish it all winter), well we all hope the fish counts pick up substantially over the next short time frame or it could be some pretty slim pickings.

beautiful plan, just add a quick detour to the red shed! wont hurt the fishing time any and knowledge of river gained will be win win
