Im heading sometime late next week with a buddy to fish the clear for some steel. I was looking for some advice on tactics, spots, flys etc... any info would be helpful since Ive never been to that river before. thanks ahead of time. and yes I misspelled Clearwater in the heading

Panhandle is down there right now, I was supposed to go but family prevailed. He should be back Monday or Tuesday might give you some info.

My tip is fish from the stink hole down. Small dark flies swung on a dry line or Huge nymphs and beads under a bobber. Fish are in the lower section now. All fishy looking water has fish in it. I wish I could get down there.

get there early, like 5 am. The best bite is from 5-9am. We had a few pulls today, but nothing stuck, and saw a few other hook ups.

Is this best floated from place to place like in a water master, or just drive spot to spot? I'm thinking I might have some time to kill and a cool new place would be a nice adventure.

thanks for the advice. If anyone wants to meet up out there let me know. so far there is two of us going. from what i understand the fish are stacked at the top of runs in the slower water should be fun. I will give a full report when we get back. hopefully with some fish porn.
