Concept fly line

Concept was a low-priced Scientific Angler line. I don't believe they still make the lines.

No Gene, I don't think they do either. But the few that I've had were virtually indestructible.

That may be why they don't sell it anymore either.

One of my first fly lines was a Concept and it did work well. But as with a lot of flyfishing equipment, some things that work well go the way of the wild goose... JW Outfitter pontoon boats, the original Gunnison Ross reel, the first model Airflo intermediate clear sinking lines, the Henry's Fork fishing vest, the first model Columbia Sportswear wading jacket, the original System II SA reel, the original Mastery (made in England) SA reels, etc., etc., etc...

SA has a nasty habit of discontinuing good products. Why they bought out JW Outfitters pontoon boats and then never sold the pontoon boats is beyond me! Why on earth would they buy out an excellent pontoon boat company and never end up selling pontoon boats??? JW Outfitters certainly were not any competition to SA because SA didn't sell pontoon boats. What the hell was up with that?

Don't forget the first Loop reel. That puppy wad bomb proof!

Yah, still hoping to find a new Concept line. Got 9-10 years out of the last two. Still use one of them for carp, but she's getting a bit tired.

I have a Concept DT 7, brand new in the box. Pm me if you're interested.

Check the close out bins at sporting goods stores and fly shops. Maybe ebay also.

I saw one on Evil Bay, but it sold before I found it there.
