Cortland Compact Sink?

Has anyone ever used the Cortland Compact Sink lines? I am looking at the Compact Sink Type 3. It has a 28 ft sinking head and is touted as being "the world's most versatile sinking line" as it is rated for all temperature conditions. If that claim was true, then I could see this line in a sink 3 being pretty dang versatile. Fast enough to work it through a cold trout river with current, yet slow enough to work a streamer through hot still water for bass. That would be quite the line.

I'd love to hear any real world experiences with this line.

Never tried it but that is a interesting looking line.
Might be a good Puget Sound beach line.

What type of fishing applications would you plan to use it for?

Great question. I think I would pick it up as my only full sinking line. I use SA's 7' Sonar Sinking Leaders when I want to get some depth similar to a sink tip, but I'm in the market for a something to get me deeper. I love that it could be used in a variety of temps because I could see me using this for summertime bass fishing, year round trout fishing and possibly even some light salt use. I feel that with the 28' head and the 3ips sink rate, you could do a whole lot of fishing with that line, still water or rivers.

Thanks for the reply! How does it hold up in heat? How about cold? Also, do you find the Type 3 to be enough of a sink rate?

Lastly, could one also use it wade fishing and/or out of a kayak? That's how I would use it.

Sorry for all the questions. It's hard to find reviews on it!
