Never heard of these fish, but if I'm ever down under they sound like a blast. The bara he was trying to catch look fun, too. The Crocs in the river would make me a little nervous.

Those do look like fun! Note to self: If you ever make it to Australia, leave the float tube stateside . . .
The king threadfin salmon is ranked as one of the top 50 saltwater gamefish. The one in this video gave him a hard fight for sure.

I would love to do a trip to Australia.
Those are rad. Would some to hit Aussie up for some threadfin barramundi and Murray cod.

Whoah a rare McNasty appearance in the general forum.

Don't forget queenfish and longtail tuna. Might as well hit those up if you're out there in the salt down under anyway.

These threadfin don't look too salmon-like to me, but maybe if you're a homesick limey.

Not heard of them before... cool video, thanks for sharing. Reading up on them, they seem like a cross between Tarpon, Bonefish, and Dorado.
