Is this item still available? This exactly a design I was thinking about and you have already made it(or had it made)? I would love to have some info on the base unit.

Custom build 2-Rod roof top carrier. Just add 2"PVC and clamp it to your roof rack. Stainless hinge and Lockable Clasp. Padded interior, Water tight. Interior is 5.5" wide as well as tall (measured from center of rod tube). At the tallest point, it is 7.5" tall, and at its widest (to accommodate fighting butts) it is 7.25".
