So my grandma of 100 years old past away this week. I was gonna spend 3 days on the Methow, but now will be in Walla Walla for one of the largest funerals the town have ever seen. I am going to spend an extra day to search for some fish in the area. Thinking about the Touchet, but not sure yet. The regs really confuse me but from what I can understand there is no water open to take the 3 or 5 weight for, which is what I would rather do. So I will take the steelhead setup and see what I can find. Am I on the wrong track? Does anyone know of any water open in the area for trout? Thanks for any suggestions in advance!!
First off, my sincere condolences on your loss. Try the Tucannon Lakes with a light fly rod . . . lots of fish that should do well to occupy your mind.
