Well, I have decided to buy a floating device for small lakes to fish this summer. My last donut went the way of the dodo bird.
I have pretty much settled on the Outcast Fat cat and/or the Outcast Fish cat. One has a foam seat and the other has a inflatable seat.

Anybody got any suggestions on which one I should get?

I have an aluminum 14 footer for big lakes and I wade rivers and streams for the most part.

I tried one with a foam seat and then purchased a fishcat4 with an inflatable seat bottom and back. I personally think this one is more comfortable for me. I think the weight capacity on the fishcat4 is 250# which is enough for me. Best of luck.

I'm not sure if I'm just reading this incorrectly, but you seem to be implying they are the same craft with the only difference being the seat. This is not accurate. Either the SFC or fish cat are available with foam or inflatable seats. The SFC is a larger (wider) boat with a higher weight capacity and a higher price. The SFC also has higher grade bladder and valves. Most importantly, the SFC's bladder is a single piece design (minus the seats) which means there is no trying to equalize the pressure in each bladder, but also means there is less of a safety margin if you have a blow-out. I don't think you can go wrong with either craft, but decide based on good info, not seat design. For what it's worth, I have an SFC with inflatable seats.

Get the one with the "inflatable" seat. I have talked to several folks that don't like the foam. I believe it is a bit heavier also. I just purchased the Deluxe Fish Cat 4. Sweet! They also have a 5 year warranty. The going price is $265. I scored it for $219 which was a miracle. Go with inflatable seat!!!!

Well, I thank you gentlemen for your information. Looks like I will be getting the one with the inflatable seat.
I will have to look at the different models that have this feature and decide from there. I think I was looking
at the Deluxe Fish Cat before I let my mind wander.
I appreciate you taking the time to discuss this issue with me.

Check out the Outcast Prowler. It has an inflatible seat and it is the effin cadilac of float tube/Vboats. It has two drink holders on each sizable cargo pocket that are removable as well. The front of the boat actually has an opening so that you can run your anchor line down through it and anchor with your nose into the wind. This boat is so pimp you need to check one out.

I have the Fish Cat with the foam seat and back and really like it. Comfort is fine and I like the firmness, but then that is me.

One thing I have to say about Fish Cat is their warranty is unbelievable. One of the bladders had a slow leak, just enough to be annoying. I called them up and told them about the problem. Sorry about that they replied, we will have a new bladder in the mail before the day is out. No send in the old one nor handling and shipping charges. Two days later UPS delivered the new bladder to my door!!

Thanks for the input I don't think I will be walking in too far. Drive up to the lake, inflate the tube, put on waders, fins and grab rod.
That is pretty much my MO.
I have pretty much decided on the one with two bladders. I think that is the Fish Cat Deluxe.
