A few Dollies on the Skagit around the Berry Farm and up from there. Seems like they could be moving out to follow smolt downstream. Kings are in thick and that could have made a difference the past few weeks. But all in all a good day with lots of grabs, wildlife scenery, a few good sized Bulls and a cold beer with a friend. Water 59 deg. and color was perfect. Tight Lines

I smacked a big Dollie in the same run packed with Kings. Fun to catch and fill the void, who knows that magical Steel could be waiting in the depths below. I can only spend the time and keep the faith.

Stewart-
Those bulls (at least the adults) at this time of year in doing exactly the same thing as the Chinook. They too are fall spawners with both fluvial and anadromous making their ways to the their spawning grounds (headwaters). The anadromous fish are making their way upstream while the fluvial fish in the area you are fishing may be moving either up or down. A significant portion of those fluvial actually drop down to the Sauk before heading upstream to their natal streams.

Of course they being bull trout they will not turn the opportunity to grab a quick meal or two.
