Last summer I had a bit of fun casting rubber lizards for large mouths. This year I hope to try the fly rod (but without the rubber lizards). I have some poppers I've never used and I thought Muddlers might work. Has anyone tried this in Downs with any success? What about the Crappie, Bluegill and Perch in there as well?

On a side note, It was the Rattlesnake post that made me think of Downs Lake. Let's just say you don't want to go trailblazing out there on a hot day wearing shorts!
