Hello to all, Could someone please let me know how Dry Falls and Lake Lenice fish in early September to Mid October. What hatches or flies would I need to tie or buy? Thanks in advance for your help.

Both can fish very well in the fall. Leeches and streamers are most productive for me that time of year, but depending on weather, you might still get some top water activity. Gives the guys a call at Desert Fly Anglers a call and they will help with intel.

Holy Cow Batman!

Insert name of lake ___________ , and put on a Water Boatman!

Use tippet two to three times heavier than normal, and tie/bring at least a dozen of them.

I've had good success in Dry Falls with a Water Boatman.

Always curious to see other folks water boatman patterns, having never caught a fish on the boatman patterns I have tried

We were sitting streamside on the Ruby last week, early evening, waiting for the caddis to start their show. There were water boatman skating all over the damn place and I mentioned that I rarely buy/tie/use these as I've never had luck with them -- neighbor said the same thing. Yet I constantly hear others say they are the tits. So what's the deal?
Will be in lenice area tomorrow. May throw some stuff from the launch opening if I don't fish the Columbia at desert aire
