Dump a lot of the Columbia Basin fish hatcheries?

Unfortunately you're statement is completely correct. If hatcheries are closed, what will happen when people cry foul for not being able to keep fish for the foreseeable future? I'm not saying I support hatcheries, I'm saying the general public needs to be better educated about the damage the hatcheries do. When I first started learning about anadromous fish, I assumed hatcheries were beneficial.. I'm afraid most people still look at them this way.
