Me and a buddy of mine are planning on making a trip over to the Elwha this coming weekend. Because there isn't a whole lot of info about this river online its hard to find out the condition of the river. We went last year and the water was low and clear and the fishing was great. Is this recent heat going to blow up the river or change the water clarity?

Do a search of this forum using the term Elwah in the search function, you will learn all you need to know. As for flows, check the USGS site, it has a flow gage above lake mills.

Since I had the time, I checked the flow. It hasn't gone up much at all over the past 2 days of hot weather so you'll be fine on that account.

Thanks J. I looked at that chart a few days ago but really have no idea what the normal flows are for that river. Its supposed to cool down in the next couple days so that should help us out too.
