You may be right, this has been some dry stuff this year. A lot of it, but dry.Problem last time i looked most of Montana is still way low on snow pack.
Plenty of white stuff but with very low water content. Good for skiing bad for fish. Hope something changes.
We're supposed to get another 6" tomorrow! I spent 3 hours today shoveling and cleaning up snow piles to make room for it. Now, I have to go get sand and about 1,000 lbs of ice melt for the thick shear ice that was under all the snow.I think we're almost over the hump - for a while anyway, we'll have snow on the ground for spell.
Supposed to stay above freezing for the next week. If it does and the snow leaves I will get out for a little while. We're supposed to get another 6" tomorrow! Trapper, your info shows snow depth not water content. We are getting a bit behind in the amount of water for this time of year. If the weather pattern shifts, we still have time to catch up. http://www.wrcc.dri.edu/snotelanom/basinswen.html
