Problem last time i looked most of Montana is still way low on snow pack.
Plenty of white stuff but with very low water content. Good for skiing bad for fish. Hope something changes.

Hell, I've had snow on the ground since thanksgiving. I forgot what my lawn looks like. I can ski down the man made mountains in my front yard. My dogs let their frisbee ' in the front yard yesterday and it's gone till spring.

On things for sure, the rivers are gonna be flowing this year.

You may be right, this has been some dry stuff this year. A lot of it, but dry.

The snow is melting here in Dillon. Woke up to 33 degrees this morning. It's 39 now. Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're supposed to get another 6" tomorrow! I spent 3 hours today shoveling and cleaning up snow piles to make room for it. Now, I have to go get sand and about 1,000 lbs of ice melt for the thick shear ice that was under all the snow.

Around here it has been a shit season so far. 75% of avereage swe in the Bridgers, 87% in the Madison basin, and 78% in the Gallatin. Yellowstone basin is 107% so that is good.

Hopefully we start getting the goods as ski season to this point has been less than memorable.

I did however manage to find some decent snow the past couple of days.

For the past 15 years I have said that if I ever win the lottery the first thing I would buy is a 4WD turbocharged tractor with an enclosed cab, a 6 disc CD player, heating and cooling and satellite radio. Well, I never won the lottery and today I really REALLY need that tractor. With between 24 and 30'' of snow on the ground and huge berms along my driveway more snow is becoming very difficult to deal with. Between 5 and 11'' are predicted in the next 24 hours but the temp has risen to 36 and now we are getting freezing rain.

So I'm not thinking about buying a new tractor with my lottery winnings but a ticket south. We are already planning our getaway for next fall and hope this is our last winter here. We too have had enough.
