Haven't spent time in AL in years. I was there from 5th-11th grade and hurricane creek was a favorite spot to visit. Back when it was private and the guy ran a tram to get you back up the hill if'n you wanted.

It was really pretty country. There are plans being made for the William B. Bankhead National Forest next year. Upper Sisseton Fork looks spectacular, and the lower portion is Alabama'state only year round trout fishery.

I recall some brilliant mornings on Smith Lake where the sky did seem insanely blue.

Ma passed some while back, but Sis 'n the lil uns are right pert, Matt. I got a hankerin' to go fishin' if'n the wind ever quits ta blowin'. Jes' ain't had no time ter git over the meetin' hall way on a Sunday, but I reckon I'd best be a-fixin' to a'fore the preacher adrags me in by my ear-bob squalin' like a mashed cat!
