I'm in need of some repair work on a Fisher 9' 6wt 4 piece rod. As one of my favorite MT trout sticks and the first rod I purchased as a kid, I was pissed when my 40 year old ass that's been MIA since age 30, decided to re-appear and crush the lower section of the rod.

A quick search doesn't list any contact information for Fisher. I'm assuming they're out of business, can anyone confirm this for me? If this is the case, I'd love some guidance on rod builders (PM'd) that might be able to help.

Sadly, Fisher closed their doors about 1989. They made some great blanks for custom builders as well as a good many commerical rod companies. You might try Fetha Styx just down the road from you and see if they can find a blank section for you that will come close. I suspect it will be cheaper to forget that rod and buy a new one though.
