Don't believe the hype. The Yak is near dead. I've heard of some hatches in the canyon, but I've fished for 2 days and hooked a smolt. There are no fish to be found.

I'm not sure why you'd want to spread disinformation about the revered Yakima River trout fishery, but we did considerably better than that on Saturday. We caught fish on dries, nymphs and a streamer. We weren't in the canyon. I hope your luck improves!
