I had closed my shop 5yrs ago and have started in a much smaller scale now and was just wondering about price because the price of materials has gone up so much. I am tying a select number of flies for Kamloops and selling them $2.50 . I did not want to over price my flies.

That price sound about right. Like the man said, depends on what you are tying.

I chuckled at Gene's comment about $22.50 each.
But he is more efficient at covering a hook than I am, I suppose.
Mine run more like $32.50/fly.

I have found over the years you do it because you like it.
I suspect many of us got into tying our own flies thinking we'd save money...I did. Gene's probably not too far off on his estimate. That said, who can put a price on the satisfaction of first admiring your bench work, and second, seeing it in the corner of a fishes jaw?

Ron,
I am hoping you will post some up in the fly tying section.
I was going to stop by your shop in May but got caught up in fishing.
