hi does any one know of any good spots to flyfish on the newaukum river i am from centralia i like the skook but i have all ways wanted to try the newaukum my cell # is (360)269-2489

My office is at exit 72, and on the east side of the freeway where the Newaukum crosses looks like a good spot. I drive by there everyday and have seen several people bait fishing there. I live on the east end of the county and have now idea about access. If you fish it let me know, I might have to to my rod to work someday.

The Newaukum is mostly a salmon and steelhead stream, with a few cutthroat. There are not a lot of resident trout, and fewer still of a size that most find interesting to fish for. Consequently, summer days spent fishing there will result mainly in hooking a lot of pre-migrant steelhead and sea-run cutthroat.
