I have two new LL Bean feels from 1996 (marked on paperwork) made in England by Hardy. They are both GQS 6/7, Spooled with cortland 333 bug taper wf8f and double taper, both have soft cases and owners manual. These reels are for sale. Would appreciate if someone could give a value. I am selling these for an aunt whose husband recently died. Thanks in advance. Jim

Hello Jim,
I don't have enough expertise with classic reels to answer your question. If it were me I'd post the same question on the classic fly rod or fiberglass fly rodder forums. Both have a section on classic reels that are frequented by enthusiasts who keep up with current values, ect. Photos would help.

Good luck,
Ray

I bought one in the 10/11 size to use as a Spey reel in 2001 when Bean closed them out for $99. The smaller sizes may have been less money; I don't remember. They are very well made, except for the disc drag on them which is nearly useless junk.
