this worked for my buddy douse it in rubbing alcohol and that will displace most if not all the moisture as it evaporates. the cream and sugar is another story.

I did that to a computer keyboard a number of years ago. I immediately called the computer repair place at the university where I worked at the time. When I told them what happened, the reply came back just as if I was ordering a cup a joe at a cafe: "Cream or sugar?" When I said, "cream, no sugar," they said "you've got a chance. Wrap it in a plastic bag immediately and get it over here asap." Apparently the sugar is deadly and black coffee isn't too bad. Of course this was just for a keyboard; no telling what damage could be done to a laptop.

Chris, sorry to here about the computer. The guy with the hose is probably not far off. I had a teacher's computer get drenched by a leaky roof and we just let it dry out for a few days and everything was okay. The problem was, we had to buy a new building to hold the computer. It opens on the 17th after a 20 month construction and $25 Million. That was an expensive leak.
